History
The House for Culture and Further Education was founded on 3rd September 1952 and has become an organiser of cultural as well as educational activities. Since established, the institution has changed its name several times and in 2002 also its registered office. Our last address is at street Dolná ulica (street) 35, in the building with interesting history. The archaeological findings of many Gothic tiles in the courtyard of the house let us suppose, that the originally Renaissance burgher house was built on older foundations. These findings provide evidence, that a tile-production workshop was located here in 15th century. After the fire in 1761, the building has undergone several alterations and the current appearance of façade dates back to the 19th century.
