On June 19 and 20, Banská Bystrica will transform into a vibrant hub of art and history. Following last year’s success, we invite the residents of Banská Bystrica and visitors to the city once again to the 2026 City Culture Days, subtitled “Cultural Mining—We Mine Culture.” Nearly 50 events, organized by the city in collaboration with dozens of public and private cultural institutions, the church, and volunteers, symbolically mark the 500th anniversary of the miners’ uprising and will take visitors to various locations.
