The Tourist Information centre office is located in the bus station (at the platforms) under the shopping centre Terminal Banská Bystrica.
The Tourist Information centre is focused on providing tourist information about the city Banská Bystrica and its surrounding for national and international visitors. TIC staff is mapping and constantly updating attractions, sights, tourist attractions, cultural and sporting events and tourism products in the region.
Visitors to TIC will get completely information about historical monuments, tourist and natural attractions in the city and surrounding, about departure/arrivals of buses, trains on urban and suburban lines (MHD, SAD, ŽSR), information about accommodation possibilities in the city and surrounding, gastronomy, free time activities for individual interest groups and also according the current season, tips for trips and currently available comprehensive product packages, get free promotional materials of the city, its surrounding and Slovakia, maps of the city and surrounding.
In TIC you can chose from a wide range of souvenirs and gifts, representative and educational promotional publications, tourist maps and guides, postcards, discount cards and regional products focused on promoting the city and Slovakia.
