The Central Slovak Museum offers an interesting program also in February. In the Tihányi mansion, in addition to the permanent exhibition Nature of Central Slovakia, there is also an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the scientific exposition 30 (k) years (to) of the museum. Every Tuesday and Wednesday there is a rich program for the mothers and dads on parental leave, Museum for the youngest. Traveling Tuesday will welcome Ondrej Kameniar, an ecologist, who will present his experiences and photos from Georgia. The smallest one and of course bigger one too can looking forward at 16 of February to a workshop with ornithologist Imrich Kováč Bird Valentine’s Day, where they learn to make a birdhouse, learn about their importance and also about the birds that use bird boxes. Sunday creative workshops are traditionally prepared for children. In the Thurzo House you can visit the exhibition Art Craft from prehistoric times to the present, which will present art crafts of the past used from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages, as well as the craftsmanship of students of the Hodruša-Hámre Private School of Arts. From 20 February, the exhibition In the Land of Crafts will also be open, bringing the traditional folk art of skilled masters, as well as their students, apprentices and journeymen. The popular lecture series Meetings with the Past under the Green Vault in the spring months bears the subtitle Banská Bystrica Egyptian Spring and a February lecture with historian Renata Rabábová will unveil Old Egyptian jewelry.
